How the SellCar process works

 

The Convenient Way To Sell Your Car Fast

The entire SellCar process is aimed at eliminating hassle for our customers.  Ultimately, as we are coming to you and paying to do so, neither party can afford wasted trips due to misleading online valuations.

As no two used cars are the same, every enquiry is looked at on an individual basis to ensure that correct and detailed information is obtained to enable accurate and genuine valuations.

Start by filling in our simple Request A Quote form

Please ensure that you enter as much detail as you can, taking time ideally to walk around your car.  The accuracy of the car valuation we quote reflects the accuracy of the information you provide us with as well as our own internal pricing process.

Please also ensure that you enter correct contact numbers for us to call you, as we will need to speak to you to maximise our free car valuation for your car. No two used cars are the same and just 15 minutes online and on the phone to us will save you half a day off work taking your car to one of our competitors to have almost exactly the same conversation.

We will then call you to (re)confirm certain details

If you asked an estate agent how much your house is worth and then asked him or her how much they would buy it for, the second figure would be different to the first figure. This, in essence, is the difference between an estimated online car valuation and a qualified purchase quotation. To provide you with the latter, we will need to spend 10 minutes or so on the phone to you to find out how much your car is worth.

Remember, this conversation is the conversation you will have with our competitors when you take the car to them……our approach is much easier for you and we then come to collect your car.

We will then quote you an accurate purchase price

Is it possible to quote a guaranteed car valuation without having seen your car? No, it isn’t and we would strongly urge that you stay clear of anyone who tells you otherwise. However, with the right process, tools and communication skills, it is possible to be “almost there”.

At SellCar, since we started measuring our quotation accuracy, we continue to average in excess of 95% of the price we quote prior to inspection. In other words, if we quote £10000 on average we are transacting at circa £9500. This compares to a sector average between 70% and 80%.

We will then come to collect / inspect your car

Once we have agreed a price to buy your car, a fully-trained member of our vehicle inspections team will then come to view, inspect and test-drive your car.

Cleared funds payment will be in your account before we leave.

Once the vehicle inspection is completed, we will transfer full payment from our bank to yours. When you have confirmed receipt of cleared funds payment with your bank (note, this is literally immediate, so no waiting around required), we will drive your car away.
