A brief history:
Founded in Japan in 1920 Mazda was heavily involved in the Second World War effort especially with the production of weaponry. In 1984 the company became who we know today as Mazda changing from their original name of Toyo Kogyo Co. Mazda’s biggest claim to fame was in the 1960’s when they invested heavily into designing the new rotary engine. Mazda has also historically enjoyed a mutual relationship with Ford and to this today are still producing quality family cars that reach global markets.
