A brief history:

Before 2000 when BMW broke up the Rover Group and retained the MINI brand, MINI was first created in 1959 by the British Motor Corporation. An icon of the 60’s MINI built affordable, small family vehicles also taking part in many motorsport activities where it acquired a name for itself such as the Monte Carlo Rally and in 2010 MINI announced their entry into the World Rally Championship. An admirable British brand still alive today, although having undergone a few changes!
