A brief history:
Saab’s history stems from 1945 when Saab AB the part of the company that makes aeroplanes, started a project to build a small car. The Saab 92 launched in 1949, ten years later the Saab 900 model also appeared. This became the Swedish company’s bestselling model. In 1989 Saab divided to become an independent company. Due to various monetary problems the company filed for bankruptcy, later being bought by the National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) whose first 9-3 car launched on September 19, 2013.
